Oh, hi! Glad you could make it. Sit down and let me pour us a cup of tea before we start.
Find yourself a comfortable, cozy spot and lets get to know each other!
Alright, the stove is on, the kettle all filled up, we'll have some tea in no time. Meanwhile, let me put on some nice background music:
So...why lemons and tea?
It's questions like these that I find the most perplexing and unable to give out a straight answer, but I'll do my best to keep it brief. Why start a blog? Starting a blog has been a dire wish of mine for the longest time. There's so much I'm eager to write about, lots of ideas and opinions stuck in my head with no creative outlet whatsoever. So, yeah, this should be fun. I guess you could say that starting this blog is a desperate attempt to break free from my current job, which I wholeheartedly dislike, and that probably wouldn't be too far off, but that's not the only reason why I've decided to go for it. I love writing. I thoroughly enjoy having that time gap between forming thoughts and having to say them out loud. I believe the right idea needs proper time to formulate and it's not something you can spit out instantly or as needed. Or at least in my case. Does anyone still do blogging in 2018 ? This is the first thing that hit me the moment I decided I was going to do something to change the present course of my life. You know how some people usually talk about change, but somehow never seem to take it a step further? Well, I've always been one of those people, at least up to this point. If you are one as well, you pretty much know well what I'm talking about. I've been trying out different ways to get engaged online, even started my Youtube channel (two of them, actually) at one point, but after seeing myself on video, I knew real time recording was just not my thing so I've decided to try something a bit less...visually demanding. It takes away the pressure of keeping a presence. Ok, but what's with the lemons? I've chosen lemons because, like certain things in life, they aren't necessarily enjoyable, but still give a certain flavor to everything you add them to. And tea... Well, as you might have guessed by now, I like tea. For me, teatime is sacred. You can learn so much about yourself by simply observing your cup of tea, letting yourself merge with the surrounding and for a split second, a fragment of moment in time, you get to experience the sense of unity and oneness - otherwise known as loss if individuality, which can be a good thing from time to time. What is this blog about? Here's how this blog works - I have this idea of translating current thought patterns and opinions into words, with different topics ranging from veganism, minimalism, zero waste lifestyle, all the way to some more complex notions such as philosophy, psychology of self sabotage or noodles. Anything can come up, really. Do I intend to keep writing about it? Not sure, probably. This is something I'll have to give some time to develop and see where it heads next. One thing is sure - I'm really excited to be present on such a platform and I'm looking forward to see how it all unravels. Ok, I think that's it for now. Feel free to stick around for as long as you like. If you need anything, I'll be right next door. Have a nice day.

Earlier on today, I was chatting with someone about perceptions. That even though it is not something we intentionally start out to do, that even on a subconscious level we make assumptions based on what we see/read. And you are a perfect example. For whatever reason, I assumed you were female. Anyhoos, it's lovely connecting with you. Do stay in touch on Twitter, I'm @iyayetunde1

I too love that time gap between forming thoughts and having to say them out loud. I often wish I could be more 'on the ball' and able to back up on the spot thoughts, but I find myself far more comfortable having had time to cogitate and reformulate my words.
